The ST250 Portable System shares many of the features of the other SoundField systems, but is unique in that it can record full surround without mains power. It will provide up to 8 hours record time via battery power (2 x C size batteries, 1.5V). To prolong battery life the outputs are at mic level and the most popular compatible four track portable recorders at this time are the Nagra D and the Zaxcom Deva. The portable recorders then output the B-Format signals at line level directly into the SP451 Processor for surround post-production.
